This is the first quilt I ever made. It took me 14 years to make! When I first moved to Sweden, I wanted to make something American to pass on to my children, so I made the top, knew it wasn't done but I didn't know how to proceed. So I put it in the closet and I'd take it out every once in a while, only to confirm that it still wasn't done, then put it back in the closet, sadly shaking my head and sighing. Finally I met someone who showed me how to finish it.
