AWC Charity Quilt
and
Quilting Bee
| This was the first quilt the American Women's Club of Gothenburg sewed for our charity, Save The Children. The pattern is called Churndash. Three quilters pieced the whole top in two days, then together with other members of the club we stretched the three layers on a large frame and started quilting. Non-quilters enjoyed the opportunity to experience the joys of an old-fashioned quilting bee. Below are some pictures from the "bees." |
