Half Log Cabin

Half Log Cabin

The American Women's Club gave this quilt as a token of our gratitude to the Emigrant House in Gothenburg. It is a museum commemorating the great tide of emigrants from Sweden to America from 1850-1920. The museum has allowed the club to use their locale as our meeting place for a year now. Presented to the museum in January 2008. Since this was a gift from the club to the museum, we used a club Crafts Night to make it.

Sandy
Although the club ordered the quilt from me, some of the other members came over during a crafts night to help sew the blocks. Sandy cut.

Linda
Linda ironed.

Lorry
I sewed.

Crafts Night
All the blocks are done after a couple of hours' work.

And here is the signature on the back. The top logo is from the AWC Gothenburg, below it is my own logo.
